i love to have girls nite out. :)
PART 1 - Friday 6.30pm-9.30pm, city hall
kiayun, michelle, rachel and i had a wonderful time having dinner together and simply chatting. it was definitely quality time spent. no loitering, no shopping. just a nice dinner followed by about 2hrs of pure chatting. Somehow we felt as though we were in the Sex and the City setting. haha it's tough to differentiate who's who but anyway, instead of talking about our sex life (like duh, since we've got none), the conversation was mainly on our views on relationships and well, life. It really felt like a heart to heart talk where i actually felt that i know my friends alot better now.
we came up with many conclusions from this nice lil chat... here's a brief summary:
1. rach said something very very intelligent.. it was like a stroke of genius or something. haha it's something like this: “ 如果你的男人喜欢比你漂亮的女人，你没有满足他生理上的需要，如果你的男人喜欢比你丑的女人，你没有满足他心理上的需要。” Most of us agreed that it's pretty true. i even concluded that i regard my self esteem very highly. if someone ever attempt to diminish your self esteem, you should leave him. Somebody worth the love wouldnt do that to you. that is probably why i'll be sad if he leaves with someone uglier than me, because that is a direct hit on my self esteem. =X
2. michelle is soooooo... 大女人!!! gosh. i still remember how i disliked ed initially. =X now i am thankful that he remained together with my dear friend even though she's like so hard to please. hopelessly practically romantic. haha. oh well. as long as he doesnt mind i guess they'd be ready to get married anytime from now. =D
3. kiayun is really big on emotional/psychological connection.. haha i guess being able to communicate is more important than anything else. i guess it's true to a certain extent. but i feel that it's not that devastating if a guy leaves you for someone he can communicate with better. there's bound to be someone that you can connect with well right? =) looks, on the other hand, is more or less irreversible. though somebody might argue that u can wait someone that will appreciate your looks. oh well. it's okay, i still believe it's not that depressing if your man leaves you because you cant communicate properly. alot of people divorce because of that right?
4. rachel is.. well... er i dont know how to describe. okay, she's materialistic, BUT she'd rather give up her man for her friends. (awwwwww....) so i think the guys with her will have to be nice to us first, if not all of us will tell her to break up with that guy. haha we are soooo mean.... =X
5. main conclusion! 爱情还是面包？面包! relationships are more or less built up on money. before people get together, they go out for movies or meals to get to know each other better. even if you dont spend and simply go for pinic, you need transportation fees and obiviously money to get everything you need right? there's no such thing as surviving on love to live in present times. especially in this era where females are more educated and increasingly independent. most if not all would rather support themselves than to starve with a lousy man.
oh here it is... our conversation for the evening. and this is only part one. hee coming up next is cupcake day! wheeeeee shall update when the photos are in. =D i loveeeeee spending time with the girls. somehow after so long, the people that i really cherish and miss are those from my secondary school. are they really no true friends in jc and uni? it's alright. our seven years of friendship is still going strong! i love you girls! *muackx*

a job at last!

After going rounds and rounds of interview, offer, rejection, i finally settled down with one temporary assignment - back with the UOB family once again. Haha i think i'm hopeless. i'm so resistant to change. oh well. this assignment will probably not last until august since my poor boss has budget constraints. i'm really glad that she helped me ask for temp positions and eventually asked for approval to hire me again. she's really nice. :) i just pray i dont see mountains of stuff to file when i get back. erps. it's just filing anyway. though i wont learn much from that i think it's something to keep me occupied until i go for my taiwan trip. wheeeee happy happy. i like shopping in taiwan (i think). hahaa the previous time i went there i had nothing to buy. so sad. hope i'd come back with more things this time. lalalala.
oh and nowadays i spent alot of time at home, watching 'The L Word'. it's a tv series that revolves around lesbians and how they handle their family, career and relationships. I would say it provides an insight to this community that is almost hidden in Singapore. hah it's all thanks to the really nice security guard at MTV, that introduced me the websites. I'd love to work there. seriously. TVs with mtv/nickolodeon channels all around, pool table and table soccer in a cafe-looking pantry. Such an edgy place. haha and i saw VJ Utt. He's really cute in person. =D (haha rachel is damn jealous that i got to see him.... wahahah)
last but not least... GREAT SINGAPORE SALE IS COMING!!!!! isetan private sale is tmr! hah i think i'm crazy to postpone work just to go for private sale. heee. time to shop! wheeeeeee i hope i dont get squashed by those crazy woman tmr. =X

Even though my stuff are not the tip top kind which can sell for a million dollars, i think they are pretty decent and affordable! hah Trey Wong, the celebrity fashion stylish that i met during the Shiseido crash course complimented on my handmade ear rings too! *beams* haha hope people can at least take a look. There are not alot of stuff available yet but i think some of them are suitable for all ages! haha crystal handphone chains for Mothers' Day anyone??? =D My good friends get discounts! ^_^

When i tell my friends that i havent got a job yet, many of them were kinda surprised. I was like one of the first to find vacation jobs and one of the last to get a job. It's weird. Maybe i'm too picky and stubborn to ask agencies to find jobs for me. Heehee. I just think agencies tend to take too much commission; so much so that our pay is sooooo low. =X Yea, then all the jobs that i like somehow only hire full time or experienced staff. So too bad. Going back to my old work place shall be my last resort. Even then i'm not sure if my ex-boss will still be interested in hiring. Oh well.. *fingers crossed*
yesterday mi ke and i were supposed to go for interview at Robinsons but in the end we decided that the pay was too late and the work seems shitty. haha so we went to raffles place to register with agencies there instead. Kinda reminds me of what i did last year. Haha after that we were supposed to go Shaw to look for more agencies but we sort of came up with the excuse that it's too late on a fri afternoon and we should just got shopping instead. muahahaa we are seriously very slack and very 败家. =X The search for jobs shall continue again on monday. hee
oh this week i had many 'first times' too, some good some bad.
1. It's the first time i tried to do pedicure at Good Earth Nail Spa, i think the service there is pretty good. Nice tai-tai chill out place. haha
2. It's the first time that i go for buffet and Kuishin Bo, but when i got there, the stupid restaurant decided to close for renovation. -_-
3. It's the first time i going for training after 8months!!! =D
I hope it'd be a good week ahead. =D and ky is finally coming back!!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEE
