Inconsiderate Bunch
Wednesday, May 24, 2006
Singaporeans, not all but many are incredibly inconsiderate!!! There are many cases where u can observe that! There are some names that i've come up with for such people.
They like to stand on the RIGHT of the escalator.
Now all mrt stations have a sign that says, "Please keep to the LEFT" Apparently most singaporeans are illiterate, even though they're working in raffles place! Like hello?? I dont care if u want to stand on the right or not, but if you choose to stay there, you gotta move!! These people simply jam up the escalator and people simply cant rush to anywhere! Imagine your bladder's bursting and you're dying to run to the nearest toilet which is still pretty far away, then you get caught in the 'escalator jam'. mymy.. you know what i mean. People will probably ask why dont they just take the stairs instead? It doesnt help. There're also people who like to stroll up from the center of the staircase, thereby blocking others from running up, unless you SHOUT 'excuse me!!!!'
No they're not really blind. They just have selective vision.
When they board a train/bus, their eyes and legs function like a computer of pentium8 and they can immediately spot and chiong to the unoccupied seat within a split second. Then they stay rooted to their hard-fought seats until they're alighting. I'm pretty okie with such kiasu people, except when there are people like pregnant moms and elderly! I witnessed a poor pregnant lady, who seemed like she's going on maternity leave anytime 'cause her tummy was so huge, standing for at least 7stops in the super crowded train during the rush hour. In front of her were two men and two women, all around 30+ or 40+, reading newspaper/book, sleeping. Yes they all saw the lady standing there. Nobody cared! If i saw the woman earlier i'll ask them to give up their seat! (by the time i saw her we were at city hall station and she was alighting at the next stop.) They are simply inconsiderate!! if you or your wife was that pregnant lady who's at least 5mths pregnant will you expect people to give up their seats to her? DUH rite? THEN!!!?!!?
Such people cant wait to get out of a train or bus. They love to squeeze at the exit and stop everyone else from alighting or boarding. The center of the carriage/bus have loads of space for them to open up their newspapers or let them put make up but they choose to stand right in front of the exit. They dont care if you have to board/alight from this train for some urgent matter, all they want is their own convenience. What's wrong with them?? Kiasu syndrome in action once again. Do they hate the center of the carriage so much? Is it that hard to get out of the train like that? If you were someone rushing to submit a report (running the risk of losing your job if you turn up late) and you were rushing for that particular packed train (all the cabs were booked so you can only take MRT, next fastest transport) with such people, you can say byebye to your job. Self centered Singaporeans. Sadly, they do not form the minority.
What have the education system done to our society? People mugged their guts out to get a degree and get a nice, high salary job but end up having no consideration for others. They are so self centered and self absorbed that they'd probably preach and agree with me that such behaviour should not be tolerated. But who many people actually mean what they say? I, for one, do not and will not belong to any group that i've mentioned above. Is the education neglecting the basic moral principles that everyone in the society should have? what's the point of having a highly educated society with people who only think about themselves? It's obvious that with people like that, you can use a pair of hands to count who'd actually stay if a war ever breaks out in Singapore.

Stupid me didnt do enough research and happily jumped into all the funny business thingy. Anyway I've thought it through. With the type of products available in the market now, mine will never be able to stand out. So... i shall go source for more stuff before i start anything. Yup. R&D. =)
Saturday was a long day with food, party, more food. Had chocolate buffet at Fullerton. I guess we were rather disappointed. There wasnt much variety and they didnt really turn out to be as fantastic as i thought they would be. 70plus bucks for two. Not worth it at all. Bahhhh. Anyways chocolate makes people high! So we took many crazy photos! =P
~Fullerton and their famous choc buffet~

Ahhh 3days 2nights of extreme boredom with no phone calls nor smses at night. Sad case. Friday come soon!!!

Lunch at Hanabi!
Monday, May 01, 2006
Yesterday was my sis' birthday so my aunt, uncle, sis, sis' bf, ws and me went for lunch at Hanabi! Ahh i've heard about it in sukuen's blog and she said it's quite nice so we went to try it! I think it's not bad! Only that there wasnt any nice dessert included. Japanese dont really fancy dessert hor. There's like hardly any interesting dessert around, except for the more fancy ones at Azabu Sabu. Oh well. I think the gelato from Azabu Sabu is quite good!! Relatively good service too!
These are from Hanabi! (At first we didnt know where Odeon Tower is, then my uncle said it was his company's project so he managed to bring us there. Whee!)
unagi! Whee my favourite! :)
beef soupy udon! We tot it'd be a large bowl. Turns out that it's slightly smaller than the miso soup bowl lo. Haha
beef!! It's one of my favourite there! very nice :)
mixture of spicy salmon and soft shell crab maki
sashimi platter! Whoaaaaa
salmon miso soup. mine had a fish head with the white eyeball. Gross. Luckily i managed to give it to my uncle. Hee
only my sis' bf, aunt and uncle fancied it. Looks hairy and eeky. =X
tiny little croquette! so cute. nice too :P
chawan mushi! Taste normal. Nevertheless nice! =)
Oh ya today ws and i saw some guy at tp central's LJS behaving weirdly. We suspect he was sniffing drugs!!! I felt it was way too public to do that but he definitely seems to be sniffing drugs!! (Why would people do illegal things in public right?!) Anyway ws' teacher once said that drug sniffers tend to sniff their collars and bury their heads to prevent being seen. That guy was doing exactly that! He kept tugging and pulling his collar and fidgeting at his seat. I actually noticed him first cuz he kept moving while he buried his head (buried the head in the way those ppl sleep in lt..) and he had bloodshot eyes together with reddish nose! I got so freaked out i left before i finish my food. Gosh. I was told not to look at him when we leave, in case he saw me staring and start attacking me! Who knows that these people who are high on drugs may do?! Eeeks. Drug abuser in tp! I'd better be careful and go home early next time. Maybe we should have called the police!! Ahhhhh so young (about 20plus??) and on drugs. oh my..
