Donuts!
Friday, December 29, 2006
Before today, i think i didnt eat real donuts for at least 1 year or so. The only donut i ate was the mochi donut ball from Popdoh. And then... yesterday on Urban i noticed the wonderful food review on the new donut shop called the Donut Factory. Woahhhhhhh. The name has already made a statement. Apparently they sell donuts like those from dunkin' donuts and perhaps krispy kremes (okay i've never tried KK so i've got no idea how they're like =X). I went down to the shop today at Raffles City and all i saw was a longgggg... longgggg...QUEUE. No donuts. All the donuts were sold out and people were already queuing for the next batch to be out. Gosh. Need to queue for so long anot!! Nevertheless, i happily dragged ws to queue with me, hoping that the donuts would be out soon. BUT NO. we were told that we'd have to wait for another 50minutes before the first type of donuts are out. Piangx. Almost fainted. In the end we decided to go shop around first then join the queue when it's nearer to the end of 50mins. So.... we walked around Raffles City (which is sadly a rather boring place) and we went back to check out the queue after 30mins. and WAHHHH the queue got much longer this time... ahhh i wanted to cry. Those people who were just in front of me before are already near the counter already. Haixxxx so this time we were determined to get the donuts, though ws was grumbling and saying that 'their donuts better be nice, dont make mi queue for nth!' well i was less worried, i was simply planning whether to buy box of 6 or box of 12.wahahaha queue so long of cuz should buy more mah! heee after a torturous 1hr 20mins of QUEUEING, i got my donuts!!! muwahahahaha so proud of myself. Despite my achy legs, i'm proud of my wonderful achievement. a box of 6donuts. Some flavours are really cool. Wasabi, Spicy cheese and Cheese tartar~ sounds damn cool but i'm too hum to try. =X Maybe i'll try it next time. In the meantime, i'm extremely satisfied with my box of 6donuts. So pretty!

yea.. i guess 6donuts is considered quite little, compared to some aunties that bought like 24!!! erps. nevermind. raffles city is so near my school, i can walk there and grab one anytime. hee wheeee oh almost forgot to mention.. the donuts are quite cheap, even cheaper than those from Popdoh. only $6 for a box of 6 assorted donuts! =D =D =D
and so we finally tried the donuts. according to ws, the double choc one is DAMN DAMN NICE! yes and not too sweet so dont worry too much about diabetes. Hee. The white strawberry heart is a little on the sweet side though, maybe it's cuz of the generous amount of strawberry jam in the donut. Hee. One thing is that i really like about these donuts is the soft donut, not oily and nor hard like Popdoh, i think even the glazed donuts taste super nice. Hee and of cuz, Popdoh is trashed FLAT FLAT this time. =)

i hate econs
Friday, December 15, 2006
ECONS killed me in jc, then it killed me again in uni. I didnt really hate this subject alot, but now i do. Why is it that no matter what i do i can never do well in econs? Throughout the term i thought i was going to die for biz law and acct, in the end they turned out to be better than my econs. so what if i spent 2 and 1/2 years studying econs? I guess i'll never do well in this subject. Maybe i should just stay clear from anything that has got to do with econs. oh well. putting that aside, i'm glad i did ok for my biz law, considering the fact that from week 1 till week 14 i knew nothing about biz law. yes gary chan is a great prof. i'm glad i didnt do too badly. hee even though most of my friends got rather high gpa, i shall just forget about it. I still have many more terms to go. The only thing i'm worried about now is whether i can still be a TA with my pathetic gpa. Rahhhhh forget it. shall just enjoy the rest of my hols first. I'll be ultra busy next term. 6 modules, FitnessWorks, Comm Service Proj and Sports Bash. Wonderful. I shall evolved into Superwoman. wahahaha
All the sales are starting. I feel poorer and poorer. =(

Everlasting love?
Saturday, December 09, 2006
it's approaching the end of 2006 and i came up with two after-thoughts..
1. in the working world, there isnt really anyone that can be trusted.
2. between the age of 18 and 26, it'd probably be too early to say that there'd be everlasting love.
i concluded these based on my experiences in this year. 2006 is the first time i took my baby step in the society. Working was of course not the most enjoyable thing for me, but i did learn alot; about how company functions, how people work with one another, how scheming people can be etc. It was indeed an eye opener and i think i'd be more prepared for work next time. As for the part about everlasting love, it didnt directly affect me but it somehow bothered me. Seeing at least four couples splitting up isnt exactly a very cool thing in any way, especially if you really thought their love would be everlasting. Yes of course whether their love is everlasting isnt really my business, but for a person who possibly has to wait at least seven more years to see if a relationship can progress will simply start wondering whether it's worth waiting at all. Maybe things are not exactly that bad. People usually only look at the negative side of things. People are not intrigued by birth of new life but are interested to know who has recently passed away. It's such a morbid world. For me, i guess i'll just take it as it goes. Cherish the very special one now. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow. i only hope 2007 will be a year when i can learn even more, hopefully with more positive experiences too.

someone worth cherishing (",)

camera phones can be really dangerous...
Friday, December 01, 2006
yes i finally understood why today. after all the big hoo-ha about the prevalence of camera phones these days. From now on maybe i'll either learn karate or dress conservatively. It's really freaky to have someone putting his phone almost directly in front of you to take a photo of you! Girls out there.. watch out for camera perverts!
what a bad start to my long awaited holiday.. rahhhhh

my baby is going to be a great doctor
i think my entry will sound plagarised, but i think it doesnt matter since there's just that much way of showing your care and concern, even if it is not very original, at least i know it's very sincere..
dear baby,
i know this whole period has been a really stressful one for you and i'm sorry i have not been able to be there for you all the time because of all my other school commitments and so on. Medicine has never been an easy course for anyone, that's why only the best of the best can be a doctor. In the past 12years of school, you have always been the elite of the school. There was never an exam that gave you as much pressure as you feel now. It's a tough time and there's still a long way to go. No matter how difficult it may be, always remember your ambition - to save lives and be a good doctor. Life must be miserable now that you are coping with subjects that seemed so unfamiliar and with those competitive people around. I know you are not the competitive sort but what keeps you going should be your ambition, your ultimate goal. There will certainly be alot that we have to go through in order to achieve what we really want. Nothing in life is smooth sailing and i will be supporting you all the way, whether i can there for you physically or not. Dont worry so much about how you will do for your exams. You have been working so hard; you should be more confident of yourself because you are already doing your very best. It's to be able to go through such stress to show them that you can really be a good doctor. You chose this path so you must believe in yourself. You can do it. You are the best of the best of the best of the.......... in whole universe! Jia you!!!!
