Indifference or Civilised?

Are Sporeans indifferent to what's going on in our lives or are we just content with what we have so far? I've seen so many articles on demonstrations and protests in othere countries but this has never happened in Spore in the last decade. I'm glad we dont waste our time on such activities. Maybe Sporeans are timid or nonchalant about most things, most of the time people write to the forum and complain that's all. Arguments are usually carried out verbally. Are we civilised people or do we just want to make sure that our country remain as stable as it can be? Somehow i think the answer will be the latter. Nevertheless, the IR,smrt price hike and the blogger incident have already resulted in a brouhaha at a national level. Apparently, most people only give their comments and that's it. What's the point of debating on such issues (IR, price hike)? Living in a complex world now represents a need to be pragmatic and well sort of 'suffer for the good of the future'. I guess i'm just the sort that will accept whatever that come along unless i'm deeply affected. As for the racist blogger incident, i kind of pity him but oh well, perhaps some things should just be kept in the heart. It's almost impossible to make sure that nobody is racist but as long as most of us are willing to live harmoniously, i think we should just let things be. Besides, he will not be the only one who decides spore's future when he's serving the government, so everyone should just give him a break. :)Recently one of my friends has been very upset about the fact that he's a mr nice guy and he mixes well with girls, yet he cant seem to succeed in his attempts to woo girls so far. Judging from his appearance and character, girls should like a guy like him, at least in my opinion. So basically he's depressed 'cause almost everyone else is happily attached and he's still alone. His depression probably got exacerbated when he was rejected by a girl he truly likes. I do sympathise him but i've come to a conclusion when a guy mixes too well with girls, he becomes 'one of the girls' and that makes it really difficult for the girl to accept him as her boyfriend. Poor guy. There has to be a boundary between lovers and good friends i suppose. Once u overstep the boundary there's no turning back. I hope he can pick himself up and have more self confidence.tmr the girls will be going for war. we'll shock the rest with what we've got.all the best to all.Double champs we'll be.~a true warrior never fight without a purpose greater than oneself~
taken b4 gg out for dinner :)
maybe i shld hide my teeth nxt time :Pby the way the entire family had mothers' day dinner at a teochew restaurant and the service there sucks. The waitresses were either deaf or cockeyed. it took us really long to get their attention even though the restaurant wasnt exactly crowded. The air conditioning there was quite screwed up too. We'd better not go there again. ggrrr...
